We all produce waste and are aware of the issues surrounding it. Our responsibilities lie in how we reduce our waste and dispose of unavoidable waste in and environmentally friendly way. The plastic used to package ice products is the major source of waste produced by the ice industry. This area is where we have focused our attention in attempting to reduce the waste generated by our business.

Recycling

Here at Tropical Ice, we are dedicated to the reduction of plastic in our local environment and to encourage and raise awareness of recycling in the community we enbarked in a recycling campaign starting 18 months ago, with great success and support. Across the Townsville / Mackay region we have recycled in the vacinity of 12,500 plastic bags from the community, which we believe is really making a difference.
